OpenAI's Latest Image Model, Live on LetzAI
GPT Image 2.5 is now available on LetzAI for image generation, image editing, and upscaling. It replaces GPT Image 2 — the older model is no longer offered. Same strengths in typography, layout, and precise edits, now as OpenAI's current flagship, with a faster option when you do not need every last bit of quality.
Both 2.5 versions are much faster than GPT Image 2. They work in Studio, Chat, Canvas, and the API. You can still tag your own LetzAI models with @.
Two versions
Pick the one that fits the job:
- GPT Image 2.5 (High Quality) — OpenAI's Sunburst model. The most capable version. Strongest subject preservation, typography, and mask-based edits. Use this when the image has to hold up in print, UI, or a tight campaign.
- GPT Image 2.5 (Fast, Lower Quality) — OpenAI's Flare model. Everyday generation and editing at about half the latency and half the credits. Use this for drafts, iterations, and volume work.
Both go up to 4K, and both support generation, editing, and upscaling. Compared with the old GPT Image 2, High Quality and Fast are both a large step up in speed — Fast is then about twice as quick again as High Quality.
What it is good at
- Readable text — posters, packaging, UI, infographics, and localized copy
- Precise edits — change a headline, a color, or a detail without rebuilding the whole frame
- Dense layouts — diagrams, screenshots, and design comps that stay sharp on close inspection
If your work lives by text in the image or by a careful edit, start with High Quality. If you are exploring, Fast is usually enough.
